Pelican’s nest exemplifies a balance between modern elegance and rustic appeal. Serene surroundings, a welcoming interior, plenty of cozy seating and all the amenities of home contribute to the easy living personality of this home. Wind your way up the spiral staircase to a spacious loft. From there you can gaze up at the intricacy of the open beamed ceiling, or down upon the main room as sunlight floods through the many windows. Relax on the screened porches at either side of the house. Broaden your horizons from the expansive second story deck and watch the pelicans as they fish from the dock below.
Located only 60’ from the ocean, you can snorkel to your hearts content. If you prefer diving, some of the best diving and snorkeling on Utila is right out front of your house. You will see an amazing variety of underwater aquatic life and vibrant corals.
Other things to do include, hiking, bird watching, iguana watching, beach combing, going into town to shop, going to the cays to pick up fresh fish for the BBQ, rent a jet ski or boat, go flats fishing for bone fish and tarpon or offshore fishing for blue marlin and wahoo.
